As somebody who has ventured out to Italy various circumstances, invest as meager energy as you can in Venice. It's nothing kore than a vacationer trap. The trenches in Amsterdam are better.

Having said that, Florence is one of my most loved urban areas on the planet. Invest additional energy there. A lot more sentimental, better galleries, craftsmanship, and sustenance. So much culture and life. Florence is everything Venice should be.
