The Hermit's Cove located in Barangay Kantabogon in Aloguinsan,Cebu. Local stories say that an old hermit once live in this remote area and that there have been unexplained mysteries surrounding the place.
Before the wooden staircase was developed old residents used a footpath to reach the cove. Have time to read this, hope this will help you to plan your trip :)
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Mactan Cebu International Airport, hail a white taxi cab to Cebu South Bus Terminal and the fare is about PHP 350/7 USD travel time is approximately 1 hour. Then hop a bus plying to Aloguinsan and tell the conductor/ticketer to drop you off at Aloguinsan Public Market and pay about PHP 80/1.6 USD and travel time is about 2-3 hours land travel. From their public market you can hire a motorbike to Hermit's Cove and pay about 20-30 minutes ride.
Before we can go to the beach, we were then welcomed by the members of the local cooperative by the LGU Tourism office who are in charge at the place, we listed our names on the guest list and if its your first time to be there, then they will give a little orientation about the rules. And the entrance fee is at PHP 100/2 USD per person.
There's no nearby restaurant or eatery but there's an area where you can grill your own food. My best advice is to buy everything back at Aloguinsan Public Market.
