Before heading to Europe, we stayed in New York City for a few days. New York is one of my favorite places in the world and I wanted to share some photos I took while there! We didn't stay in the city, we actually stayed in Valley Stream but took the subway to Manhattan everyday.
All photos are mine.
Times Square
Times Square
I believe this was on Broadway or around Broadway.
Had some drinks at this great little rooftop bar. It was so cool with all the lights!
Bryant Park.
In the Financial District.
Financial District.
Fraunces Tavern in the Financial District. This place was so cool! The history of this place is very interesting. It's been around since the mid 1700's. Many of the Founding Fathers spent time here just before the Revolution began!
Another one from the Financial District.
We spent so, so much time in Manhattan. We got together with a friend to celebrate her birthday, ate a lot of delicious pizza and, basically just spent our whole days just walking and exploring the island. Two things I wanted to do that we couldn't this time around was check out Coney Island and explore Brooklyn. I am hoping the next time we are in New York, we take some time to see those areas.
At the end of 5th Avenue near the Flatiron Building.
The Plaza Hotel.
New York is definitely one of the most interesting places I have ever been! I loved spending most of my time in the Financial District. That area is probably my favorite part of New York. There are so many great hangout spots, bars, restaurants, etc in the Financial District to check out. My favorite being the Fraunces Tavern. A lot of great Irish Pubs too! I also really love the area near the Flatiron Building just before Greenwich Village (the Harry Potter store is over there which was such a fun experience) as well as Venchi which has some pretty good gelato.
I feel like New York is one of those places that people really love or really dislike. I am someone who loves New York. Just like Las Vegas, there is always something to do. I don't think there is any excuse to be bored in New York. There is always something new popping up, something new to discover. If I had the chance to go back to New York, I would in a second. It's one of the most fascinating cities in the world and I think if worth a visit for anyone.
Anyway, thanks for coming by! Don't forget to follow!
