The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is one of the important landmarks of Chanthaburi which is a beautiful ancient church over 100 years old since World War II. It’s considered as the largest church of Chanthaburi.
It was built in Gothic-style Western architecture decorated with stained glass windows depicting saints around the church, which was modeled after Notre Dame Cathedral in France.
There is an impressive statue of the Virgin Mary standing in front of the church.
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is peaceful. It is not only beautiful, but it is also the center of Christian faith, not just for Chanthaburi people, but also for the entire eastern part of Thailand as well.
