On our way to the island of San Andrés it was a planned trip for a couple of months, we bought tickets in a low cost airline, viva air, the only bad thing is the luggage restriction, but everything else is fine for a cost of almost 100 dollars round trip.

I always travel in low season so that everything is cheaper and have a little more privacy to enjoy, however, San Andrés is very visited throughout the year, when you arrive you must pay an entrance tax to the island, it is around 30 -40 $ depends on the change of the moment. Once you get off the plane you feel the tropical climate and the beach breeze, the hotels are very close to the airport, maximum 20 minutes by car, it depends where you are going to stay; We chose a fairly comfortable hostel to be a hostel that is on the roads to the Morgan caves.

When we left our things in the room of one, we decided to go out to buy some things and get to know, we started walking and what seemed very close by car on foot was not so close, we were very excited to be and know the island and its famous sea of 7 colors. A first day where we were able to visit some part of the center and the main beaches, San Andres is a very small island so in three days it is enough to visit all that it can offer you.

On the second day we rented a golf cart and toured the island, it was a great experience because we stopped at places not so named, we were able to meet people and locals who sell some very tasty cocktails around. In addition to being able to enjoy a great sunset, we met a gem of a beach is Cocoplum. Sheltered by a coral barrier, its serene and crystalline waters make it an ideal option to spend a peaceful day with the little ones in the family.

On the third day we went to see Rocky Cay and Aquarium Island, both spectacular. Where the crystal clear water and white sand make it a delight to enjoy, an aquarium called that way because you can snorkel and enjoy an immense variety of marine fauna that really make the experience unforgettable. There we were able to observe a huge manta ray among other species. Words would run out for me to describe San Andrés despite being a very small island in my opinion compared to Margarita in Venezuela, it has a very particular charm that I invite you to know and enjoy.
