Absolutely stunning pyramid and yes, the detailing for its age is amazingly well preserved! Well done for the research and finding such a picturesque place to stay overnight. I did not know about this complex before and the fact it was built by Maya people. Impressive!

Chichen Itza is definitely one of the most impressive ancient Mayan cities in Mexico so that’s a must-visit in Yucatán. I’m glad I stayed in Valladolid indeed so that I could enjoy both this beautiful complex and a cute colonial town. :)
