When you've got littles, Valentine's Day is a big deal!
A VERY big deal.
My kids love heading to the store and picking out Valentine's to give to their class. As soon as the first one hits the shelf we look each time we go to the store until they find the perfect one.
Sometimes we get super creative and make them. This year I offered up making them from our current medium of choice, Perler Beads. The jury is still out, we may sit down and make them. Or we may just buy them. BUT until then, I made these cute designs to show my son the possibilities of what we could do.
Anyone else make Valentines? It's a lot of work, but it's also a great way to spend some quality time with your kids as you make them together.
That is so cute! I forget, do you do needlecraft (pretty much anything that involves a needle?). #needleworkmonday is a good place to meet like minded crafty people. Check out the hashtag, and follow some folks and comment etc, and post using hashtag next Monday. If you fancy writing try @mariannewest's #freewrite challenge. It is a daily prompt based challenge: just write for 5 mins on whatever the prompt drags from your head (you might be surprised!). They are a real nice bunch of people. :)
I used to do needlework, but haven't in years. Now I just dabble in all kinds of other crafty things. I love the idea of a free write challenge though. Going to have to check that one out.
I came to California and met my wife on Valentine's Day last year. So it is very special to me.
Awe, that's awesome! What a great day to meet her...although, I'm sure any day would have been just as special.

STOPI loved Valentine's Day when I was a kid! We had to make mailboxes out of shoeboxes and decorate them. Then we went around and put our valentines in each box. Love your Valentine designs!
