Ukert is a lunar impact crater that lies on a strip of rugged ground between Mare Vaporum to the north and Sinus Medii in the south. It was named after German historian Friedrich August Ukert. It is located to the north-northwest of the crater Triesnecker and northeast of the crater pair of Pallas and Murchison
The ukert crater is located in an area called Sinus Media, in the center of the lunar disk at the closest point of the Moon to the Earth, has the shape of an equilateral triangle with a side of about 25.7 km and inside is an inverted truncated pyramid: high walls descending slope, a flat floor and many cracks - ditches. High-quality photographs of this object are still classified. In the photographs in the area of the crater, a giant hill is visible, rising to a height of up to 11 kilometers. Such a high formation is rare even for the Moon and does not yet have any intelligible geological explanations. The shape of this hill is striking. It consists, as it were, of several towers and resembles a giant castle or city surrounded by a fortress wall with towers. A computer analysis of the distribution of light on the surface of the "towers" revealed a fantastic fact: the areas that were not outside of these formations, but inside, turned out to be the most illuminated. Scientists believe that the phenomenon can only be explained if the "towers" consist entirely of a transparent material like rock crystal or diamond. It is hard to believe in the existence of such giant crystals. But another version
