Then which assumption is correct. Well, answering this, the Bridgestone Indonesia Proving Ground Manager Zulpata Zainal, explained, that there is really nothing to worry about mixing ordinary air with nitrogen.

"It's not a matter of being mixed, it's okay, because the essence is the same for air pressure. The bad effects when mixed only the pure nitrogen content will decrease, that's all, not to damage," Zul said when talking to reporters, some time ago.

According to Zul, the notion that it can damage the tire when mixing ordinary air with nitrogen is a wrong assumption, he explained that the free air around us and we breathe almost 90 percent is nitrogen. But when asked about quality, nitrogen is better than ordinary air.

Many advantages are obtained by filling air pressure with nitrogen. First of all, the effect of air temperature stability when driving long distance travel is better than ordinary air, then also from nitrogen resistance in the tire.

"Increasing the temperature in nitrogen is slower than ordinary air, so it doesn't heat up quickly when traveling long distances. In addition, if the car is kept too long, the air content of the tires that use nitrogen will be less reduced than filling the tires with ordinary air," said Zul.
He further explained that nitrogen has air particles larger than ordinary air. Therefore, the reduction through the rubber surface will be more difficult than ordinary air, which makes the air pressure on the wheels more stable.
