The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) will ensure government assistance to revitalize houses damaged by the earthquake that occurred in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on target.
BNPB noted, the number of damaged houses reached 125,744 units. Of these, 74,354 were severely damaged and 51,390 were slightly damaged.
Deputy for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of BNPB Harmensyah said the rehabilitation of damaged houses would begin next month after the central government received a report on the action plan for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the local government.
"It was scheduled for September. But this depends on the acceleration of the regions in preparing action plans at the provincial and district / city levels," Harmensyah said in Jakarta on Monday (08/27/2018).
BNPB will coordinate with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in the process of revitalizing houses, including the construction of basic infrastructure needed.
Meanwhile, the rehabilitation budget will be fully coordinated by BNPB. For the first phase of rehabilitation, the ready-to-use budget that is now available at BNPB will be used.
"So there are stages. The first stage of payment, the second stage, the third stage. There are certain conditions that must be (fulfilled) the community (in order) to withdraw their funds and become a house, not become a motorbike or become another," said Harmensyah.
The amount of ready-to-use funds that will be distributed varies depending on the level of damage. For homes that have suffered severe damage to the prepared budget of USD 3,030 . Meanwhile, those who experienced damage were USD 1,515 and USD 606 for minor damage.
Revitalization of damaged houses is targeted to be completed in a period of six months.
