Through tears we can express our emotions, but it should be noted that there are several types of tears, the normal ones that are produced continuously throughout the day, the reflexes that occur when a stimulus is harmful to the eye , for example, peeling an onion, and the most well-known emotional ones, which are those that the brain produces in a situation of stress, pain, happiness, anger. All of these protect the surface of the cornea by nourishing it and improving its refractive quality. Crying helps you to ease your mood and also protect the eye in some way or another.
