Hello folks, Just few hours before today, I've been thinking of how am going to cope with my schedule for today. I'm starting my end of semester examination tomorrow and due to the nature of courses (especially the one tomorrow) and their sequence being back-to-back, I should be very busy studying.
Although I am, but as at yesterday (sunday) during an executive meeting that was held after the regular church service, we agreed on going for an outreach to an outside campus to invite students who will be resuming to my campus at the beginning of the next academic session.About OOU
This outreach is done annually due to the fact that the school (olabisi onabanjo universiy, OOU) runs a multi-campus system and every fresher are based at the Main Campus (Ago-Iwoye) for their first academic session, and then later move to their campus of specialty (mine is OOUTH Campus, Sagamu). the aim of the outreach is to invite freshers who will be resuming probably October/November to GodHouse Christian Center (GHCC), a church dominated by students of the campus The date would have been fixed to a more convenient time, but due to the factor of being able to reach the students in a mass number it was fixed today on which they are having an exam and according to our assumption its the best time to meet them.
Today's outing was really a wonderful experience as it was decorated with set of events and memories;

  • meeting new people especially my successors and creating a Predecessor-successor relationship which is of a good advantage to both parties.
  • feeling the old hospitality of where you've once lived and being amazed by the changes in the environment
  • reminiscing memories of the things I did as a fresher, how you were being foolish at the beginning and then growing to blend with the environment.
  • visiting places which has always been your favorite. (my favorite restaurant, my favorite tree shed, my favorite corner in the library hall, my favorite row or the lecture theater)
  • meeting old friends that studies on the campus
  • the refreshment
  • appreciating the views by the road side while traveling
    I can't just imagine the outing not being on a very fixed day like this, i would have love to spend the day enjoy it to the fullest.
    I think I would have to relax my pen of its duty till some other time, as I've to finish-up my preparation for tomorrows's exam.
    A big salute to the ULOGS community, you guys are awesome!!
    Catch U later... Best Regards.
