Urban environment and photography

I took these pictures, captured this urban scene again because of the reflections.

IMG_20220810_191557.jpg

It was even without thinking. I just saw one thing I was searching intentionally (or not) and instinctively took my phone out.

IMG_20220810_191650.jpg

It was as if I didn't see the essence. It was as if I was blind for anything else, except for the puddles and the reflections in them.

IMG_20220810_191817.jpg

That was the most important thing.

IMG_20220810_191724.jpg

IMG_20220810_191752.jpg

It was probably even after I was ready with it, when I realized what I have actually captured - the misery of every day's life.

So initially I could only see some puddles. Then I looked around and saw the rest - unsettled urban and residential infrastructure that reflects in the quality and standard of overall life.
Which causes a low quality of life and makes people put up with it.

IMG_20220810_191623.jpg

So, my camera (it doesn't matter if it's a camera or a phone anymore) is my weapon - I don't know how many times I've stated that before.
(I know, I know, there are other people who wrote this thought before - I checked it on Google so as to be sure of the uniqueness of my own words, 🤭 because they are my own words, no matter what.)

IMG_20220810_191708.jpg

Because it always limits my thoughts to the object of my photography, not in its meaning and significance.
When something is photographed, it has meaning and significance only for the photograph. Because the camera does not judge - whether this is ugly or beautiful, right or wrong. It's just an object to photograph. Nothing more. Only after that can the brain begin to function with its usual functions of evaluating and judging, classifying and describing.

So, aren't we better off using more machines, more non-emotional tools in our lives? It will certainly make it happier, if not prettier. 🤔

Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Lots of reflections here... and I don't mean only the photos.
Always a pleasure to spend some time reading your posts!

I was thinking about a title "Reflections on the reflections" or something like that 😄 But it felt kind of familiar. I'm not sure if I've used the same title for any of my other posts in the past. And as I experienced once, Peakd cannot handle repeating titles. So I decided not to take the risk.
It's always a pleasure to know that someone appreciates my thoughts and point of view! Thank you! 🙏

That would be an awesome title, lol :)
I am pretty sure you could repeat the title, if it suits the body well :) Volume II? :D
My pleasure, have some !PIZZA

There should be added something different, I am pretty sure now. Some months ago, one new post deleted the content of an old post and replaced it, while publishing. It was very unpleasant situation in which I wasn't aware what was going on and what could I do to put things in order. I couldn't do anything - the old post remained deleted, and I posted again. A very strange thing. Anyway, I've been very careful with titles since then.

Oh, I see. Perhaps try again to use the same title and if there are problems, then get in touch with the PeakD team? ;)

I like the shot with scattered water puddles, so nice 👍

Ha ha, it's so nice to know that someone could see in these pictures mainly the water puddles. 😊
