Introduction
Throughout the last month, we have ran an online facebook ad promotion to promote steemit to the Arab World.
We are happy to provide you with an update upon the results of running this promotion, and yes we got to our 100 K impressions target ! More details on results below.
We ran this sponsored facebook ad promotion through our arabsteem facebook page, and we believe this effort has brought a lot of visibility about steemit to the Arab world.
Audience
Throughout the campaign, our target audience has been Facebook Arab World users.
Following Arab countries were the target of our promotion: United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco and Saudi Arabia
In terms of interests, we focused on following keywords: blogging, crypto, bitcoin, facebook, and communities.
The campaign targeted both genders without focus on any age group.
Activity
Today, in few hours from now, we conclude the 30th day of running the promotion.
While it was originally planned for a little over 2 weeks, yet with the wonderful outcome, we extended the promotion for a full month.
The promotion's message was to invite Arab population to join steemit, being a social network that helps people earn money via creating and curating content. The campaign link directs viewers directly to steemit.com. This is a link to the official ad.
Results
Yes we crossed the 100k impressions! As of last update a week ago, we stood at 76k impressions, an increase of 25k over a week.
We also got to around 1,000 action clicks (964 actions as of now to be exact) out of which 884 were clicks to steemit.com, compared to 729 actions / 672 clicks on last update.
In terms of demographics, final female interest in our facebook ad stood at 20% on actual links clicks (down from 21% on the last update)
In terms of countries, Algeria was the leading country with interest in the ad, standing at 95.7% (dropped from 96.6% last time), with Morocco, Iraq and Egypt trailing behind.
Overall, we believe the campaign was a big success. We will stop the ad for some time now, while our Steemit promotional work towards the Arab World will continue ..
