Project Details

OroCRM is an open source PHP Client Relationship Management (CRM) application that allows to create a 360° view of your customers across multiple channels, organize the sales pipeline, manage account and contact information, communicate with customers, run marketing campaigns and track campaign performance.

Contribution Specifications

OroCRM is on the Crowdin Platform to be translated into more than 30 languages, some languages like Spanish had several dialect options for translators to choose theirs. For this project we decided to start on Spanish (Colombia) due to the other Spanish dialects (including the main one) had already started being translated. So we began translating Spanish, Colombia from zero to give the owner a properly organized and coherent translation.

Translation Overview:

For this first part I translated files from 3 folders:

1- validators.en.yml from the folder OroMagentoBundle

which consisted in a few warning messages for the users like "Unable to communicate with the Magento instance. Please check integration settings." > "No se pudo comunicar con la instancia Magento. Por favor verifique las configuraciones de integración."

2- jsmessages.en.yml, messages.en.yml and validators.en.yml from the folder OroMarketingListBundle



Related to Items and Data columns management in the marketing lists. e.g. "You are trying to add several copies of column(s) %columnName% to the Marketing List. Only one copy of the column may be added. Please, review the list of columns to remove duplicates." > "Está tratando de añadir varias copias de una o más columnas %columnName% a la Lista de Mercadeo. Solo una copia de la columna puede ser añadida. Por favor, revise la lista de columnas para eliminar duplicados."

3- messages.en.yml from the folder OroReportBundle

A big amount of words related to the reports the site brings the user. e.g. Budget reports, forecasts, accounts lifetime reports, leads, revenue reprots, etc. "Create Report - Reports - Manage Custom Reports - Reports & Segments" > "Crear Reporte - Reportes - Administrar Reportes Personalizados - Reportes y Segmentos"

Languages

The project's source language is English and it was translated into Spanish.

Today I've translated more than 45 thousand words for open source projects, and I'm currently working for a Cooperative named RChain being on the translations section as a guide.
