My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary yesterday. We have been wanting to go somewhere for the occasion, but failed to plan anything. Yesterday morning we booked a trip to Coronado in San Diego and left this morning.
Things got a little crazy as my wife got sick last night and my son got sick this morning. We almost did not go, but decided it would be okay. The rental car place, and the hotel took forever but we got our room finally.
I have wanted to stay here for years since we came to San Diego 7 years ago with our twins who were 3 months old at the time. We randomly came to Coronado, saw the hotel and knew wr had to sometime stay here.
It was built in 1888 and was the largest resort at the time. It is still the second largest wood structure in the US. It is a really cool building although you can tell how old it is. The floors are not exactly level.
