A Pessimistic Assessment of Steemit Thus Far, and a Proposal To Celebritarians.

in #voluntaryism8 years ago

It's not a Ponzi scheme, true. It's difficult to understand, true. Will anyone besides people like Jeff Berwick or Larken Rose net worthwhile results? It doesn't seem like it where I'm standing.

That said, there are lots of other categories besides voluntaryism and anarchism under which to author ideas and content. I might try food, as cooking is a passion of mine. Probably more so than spreading ideas of liberty. I'm not as articulate as others, so I will mostly leave it to them. I'm not a terribly articulate foodie, either, but you don't know if you don't try.

So, on facebook, I made a couple of posts in which I assessed steemit as bullshit. I was partially wrong. I am still trying to figure out how it can expand and improve with the same ideas from the same people just bouncing around. So, I will upvote your content. I will toss you a follow, if I get the same courtesy in return.

At it's core, Steemit isn't that difficult to understand. Write quality content. Curate quality content. Build your reputation and your tribe. Don't expect to strike it rich. Even if my vote is the only vote, it's more than you made on any other social network or blogging platform.
