Growing amount of front ends = More Freedom?

in #vyb-launch2 years ago

I am a representative of the Millenial generation and it is funny to observe how that generation's qualities distinguish people. Yesterday I was helping my friend to move some materials to his new flat, being a good friend I spent my Saturday doing hard physical manual labor lol. Apart from the fact that I can really feel my sore muscles today everywhere, we had a really interesting conversation.

Apparently, we both have experienced that our parent's generation was way tougher than people nowadays, on top of that they used to do a lot of things by themselves. The people that are younger, tend to leave most of the job to be done by other people and just pay for the service. My friend said where he lives it's common to have small talk with your neighbors but that seems to be thing of the past as he is moving to the newly built flatblock where the majority of people are in their 20s and 30s.

One more thing that stands out about people in that age bracket including myself, they tend to change jobs often and seek opportunities to have as much freedom as possible.
And I think this is a very good indicator for everyone here on tokenized blogging platforms and more broadly web 3.0, I believe that young people, who are more native to technology and the ideas of financial independence are more prevalent among them.

Ultimately having more platforms catering to different groups of people allows this field to grow at an even faster rate as everyone can find the place where they belong, that is why I believe that platforms like Vyb and all the like have a very high chance of growing into something really big.

Yeahhh, nothing like me.
I went to my retirement holding 42+ years on my work track record.
Guess how many workplaces I got during those 42 years.:)

THREE !

My grandfathers are similar, both found their careers and stuck with them for many years. I see the merit in both perceptions, various strengths and weaknesses can be found in either.

Did you find a career in your work?

Did you find a career in your work?

I think I did. At least there was not even one single day that I would hate my work. Always (and I mean 100.00%) I was doing only what I love to do.

I think the world is developing at the fastest rate ever due to technological advancement and those who are quick to learn and adapt can leverage their skills similar to what we have seen with early adopters of crypto, defi etc, on the other hand, it's great to bond with people you like and keep that bond for many years, I have had three jobs so far and I certainly miss some of the great people I met working, but I certainly don't think that I will keep my job for longer than 5 years or so, but then again you never know :) What about yourself?

Definitely, and not to forget attention span along with it. That is something I struggle with from time to time, I envy the older and wiser who embody the tortoise. Nevertheless, there is balance in all things!

I've floated around for long periods and also spent time working in construction as well. Everyone is different, even still, I'd imagine most people hope to find something they can find joy and satisfaction in as they grow.

Well said, I think attention span issues is a common trend among younger people, that's why Tick Tock, Instagram etc are so popular, talking about satisfaction from work, we never know what is around the corner, maybe the job that I would enjoy or be good at is not out there yet.

Judging from the examples around me I would guess 3? The thought of this gives me goosebumps hahahaha, oh just noticed you put it there haha, so far I had three as well....

My father worked for the same company for +30 years. My grandfather worked as a coffee and sugar cane farmer all his life. It's awesome for a family to have such a stable income. I'm hoping I can provide that one day for mine.
