scene at the beach (miniature painting)

Just like every week here I'm again with yet another of my miniature paintings so this time I wanted something vibrant yet gloomy but colorful because I was making a bookmark painting. So this week what I painted is a Country side sunset and it's really beautiful .

Materials I used aren't anything fancy just dollar store acrylic paints , cartridge paper as canvas size was 7×3 , Some masking tape to stick our canvas to a surface also For the clean white edges after the painting is finished and we also need some brushes I used a 000 round fine liner brush with a dry flat brush and a round brush so let's begin .

First off all I took cobalt blue and used my dry brush to blend it all with some white paint but just a tiny bit next under this I added some orange and yellow with a cleaned brush because blue and orange mixed would make a awful green shade which we don't want so I used a clean brush and blended both orange and yellow in a criss cross technique and then blended the greyish blue from the sky with it right at the horizon I made sure to use some red so the lower part looks like Fire . Usually when sun sets the sky slowly is like Going from a fierce fire sunset to a dark sky so this was my take on doing that.

After this I let it dry out and got my dry brush out mixed some blue and black together to make dark clouds and I did them by dabbing small circles on the sky with the dry brush I made 3-5 cloud shapes same way and added some highlights with white color from the upper left side .
Now for the fun part I colored the lower horizon or ground like a field of grass a very dull green moss color next I added silhouette off houses and mountains near by and over them I added more green grass like details using the same moss green and yellow color with a dry brush . Because the texture let's you imagine and see the things differently . I added more white highlights to the clouds .

Lastly I removed the tape off the edges revealing a beautiful white border and here is our final piece it's all ready to be a book mark .
