How To: SURVIVE Permanent Match

SURVIVE Permanent Match is a product that allows users to create a flame with a single strike. In the package, users will receive the Permanent Matches, spare wicks, and instructions. To use the Permanent Match, users will need to purchase light petroleum distillate lighter fluid separately, which can be found at most gas stations, department stores, or online. Users should not use charcoal lighter fluid or other types of lighter fluids, as they will not work well.

To use the Permanent Match, users must first unscrew the match and remove the black protective coating on the steel rod. To strike the match, the user puts the flat end of the flint striker at a 45-degree angle on the top of the steel rod and applies pressure while striking downwards. Users should practice striking to get a spark with each strike. To fill the match with lighter fluid, the user opens it up, turns the lighter fluid upside down, and slowly drips fuel into the container until it is about 3/4 full.

To create a flame, the user holds the container steady and strikes the match. The flame should be allowed to burn for about 5 seconds before being blown out. Users can then soak the match in more fuel and strike it again. If the wick burns down, users can use needle nose pliers to pull out more wick on each side. To replace the wick completely, users can use needle nose pliers to pull out the flint striker, remove the old wick, and insert a new wick. This is only necessary after a lot of use and if the user is careful with the Permanent Match, the wick should not need to be replaced.
