Hi everyone today i am visiting the cheesewring and the hurlers stone circles high up on Bodmin moor near a tiny little village called Minion. Its a bleak place i can only imagine most days, fortunately today the skies are a beautiful deep blue and the sun is hot!.
If a tree could tell a story this remarkable tree would have many a tail to tell to anyone brave enough to hang on to it long enough and listen.
Such a awe inspiring place to visit and explore.
Cornish granite has been used for building materials for thousands of years. Back in the 19th century it was quarried in massive quantities for big engineering projects around the World. The Cheesewring when it was being used was one of Cornwalls biggest quarries.
The hurlers stone circles are nearer to the village of Minion and is a small walk from the car park.
I do hope you enjoyed the walk with me today, please follow, upvote and resteem if you really care 😊 wishing you a wonderful day 😊

So there is a place called Minion? I find that interesting. Awesome trees! It must really be windy there. Do they still quarry there?
Apologies for taking a while to reply @leeart the quarry isn't used any more. And i never knew this place existed until i drove into the little village and looked at its unusual name of Minion 😊 a wild spot on a windy day!!
