Staying on budget for your Wedding #1, Alternative to Expensive Centerpieces

in #wedding7 years ago

As someone who is currently planning a wedding, I have been shocked at the prices of everything wedding. It is hard making choices to save money without feeling like you are sacrificing your special day. However, do you really want to look back at large debts from the wedding that makes enjoying being married more stressful with bills? I hope that this tip will give you a great way to save money and avoid some debt. I will be posting more helpful articles on saving money on wedding costs in the future. I have saved a considerable amount of money by just reconsidering some very standard expenses

One huge expense is centerpieces. Centerpieces are those vases filled with custom made floral arrangements. They take up the middle of the table and make it beautiful, only to die a few days later. What if you could have something that lasts longer, but still looks beautiful and costs much less? Potted orchids can be bought at a fraction of the price as centerpieces and can be long lasting gifts to special guests or even decorate your own home. You can find potted orchids at Amazon, GlobalRose, and some local nurseries and grocery stores even sell these orchids for reasonable prices. Standard pricing is around $30-$40 each.

You don't want to plan on orchids being in stock just to find out right before your wedding that they aren't. For local businesses, make sure to contact whoever places the orders for the company to verify and order the orchids well in advance of the wedding. Decorative planters can be bought to add extra elegance to the potted orchid if it just comes in a standard orange container.

It is ideal to receive the orchids two days before the big day to allow time for the plants to adjust. That also ensures some time for getting a second shipment, in case the first set doesnt survive the shipment well.

You don't need to break your budget to get a beautiful centerpiece. You can keep these potted orchids to remember the day and add beauty to your own home and life! Before putting hard earned money into paying a florist, consider all your options.
