Well thought out and keenly observed. There is indeed something weird about this downvoting business. It's like there is a latent need for conflict even within the Steem community. I agree it makes more sense to upvote others when you don't agree with how much a certain author gets.

I think we should all simply focus on rewarding quality content. And a little less on gaming the rewards system. I consider the above post quality content. Upvoted.
