Wow i've never heard of whale shares before, but it seems like a great opportunity to succeed without resorting to random whale. I'm not going to lie, I have been saving my hard earned SBD's to purchase a random whale vote, but seeing that picture of his/her's voting power kind of opened my eyes. There is only the rap competition so far but I am open to the idea if more people want to participate.
There is a lot more potential than we can think in steemit. Future will reveal it.

Also you can make a mistake and send it to randoMwhale and things like that. People are still using randowhale even it is not worth it anymore. They still do it because of the "luck" factor and the feeling of "wow, I got so many percents" :) - it feels like slots
