Witnesses are very important parts of the chain and you should definitely participate in picking the ones that you like and agree with. I'm not going to show anyone in top 20 to highlight some of the witnesses lower down doing great work on the chain.
I'll explain a few of my witness votes and why I believe in them. I proxy to @hextech and cast my votes from there. These are witnesses that I recommend that you vote for as well. I won't explain all my votes, just those I believe very highly in.
Hextech
This is probably the most important vote. Hextech is my own witness(I run along with a few others) and I believe that we are doing great and only getting better by adding more value to Hive. We've already got @giftgiver and @nftmart personal.community going as three of the biggest projects that our members are involved in.
Deathwing
Deathwing is a great witness who runs probably the best public node that we have got right now. And I work with him on a few ideas as well and so I do believe in a vote for him will be a vote for the future of hive.
Cadawg
Cadawg is another great witness vote that you can make. Cad has worked with me on NFTMart and runs some great tools that are used by people like hive engine tools (https://engine.hive.uno/).
Roomservice
Roomservice made hiveonboard. Which is the BEST way to onboard new users onto hive. Just a phone number is all thats needed. An easy way to get users onto hive is quite literally one of the most important parts of it. Thanks to roomservice, this has been super easy.
Holger80
If you program in python, you most likely use beem. Holger is the developer behind beem and it being one of the most widely used programming tools is a great reason to vote holger as a witness.
Mahdiyari
Mahdiyari is the man behind hive.vote, the easiest to use autovoting tool on the chain, and he manages dhive and hive-js as well. I quite heavily rely on hive-js for a lot of my projects and so a vote for the maintainer of that is quite important. I do use hive.vote as well but not as much anyone since I've gotten some custom scripts.
