RE: Witness Update - @themarkymark

Outside of the initial announcement, and maybe an update or two there really isn't much to post about. Most people who enter tend to keep quiet what they are working on until they are ready to submit it.

I am thinking about making the timeline longer than the last one but there won't be a whole lot to talk about as once announced nothing changes until I have entries and even then I won't be able to judge/respond about individual entries until I have them all. I have some unique ideas this time around, the first was an experiment to see if there would even be interest and was able to have a prize pool of around $4,000 USD.

Okay, but I don't really see the need to write much in those daily posts. I was thinking of something like this:

Daily Hackathon prizepool post:
The prizepool is set as 100% beneficiary for this post.
The last hackathon was a huge success. It got many eyeballs from outside to HIVE and even brought in new devs.
Let's make this new Hackathon an even bigger success...

People who care will upvote it and increase the prize pool by 50+ HIVE per day if you do it like this.
I really hope we can get the prizepool above 20k HIVE this time.

I am not a big fan of creating place holder posts just to ask for funding for a project. It would be hypocritical for me to criticize the largest abuser for doing that, then do it myself.

Last Hackathon was around 12.5K Hive prize pool, my hope is to reach 20K this time around. I am pretty sure that will be no problem.
