The Netherlands and Industrial Power

Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you all have a week so far which is full of interesting experiences! In my contribution I would like to go into an interesting topic and would be happy if you can expand your knowledge.

The Netherlands is not only rich in art, culture and history, but also plays an important role from an industrial point of view, which can also be attributed to the central location. One of the strengths is in any case the interaction with other industries and this not only at the national level because it's known that various large areas such as logistics, pharmaceutical industry, food and other important branches are strongly networked internationally. A huge factor why this is so can be traced back in history to the perfect location on the North Sea and from there the Netherlands has managed to establish strong relations with other countries already centuries ago and it did not take long until entire infrastructures were built and already in the golden age which was an era in the 17th century, powerful players such as the East India Company have promoted international trade.

It can be said that a long chain has emerged on which thousands of people hang and in addition to business, there is also a lot of promoting research or other global cooperations. It can be also said that the most important factors for the growth of the industry, in addition to the good location, are the innovations that have contributed to the construction of a strong infrastructure and the Dutch have also recognised important markets and invested large sums in them, as when it comes to energy. Much has been built up over generations and has been improved more and more and the Netherlands has also created its own form of neutrality or openness which is indispensable for international industry branches.

While I was in the Netherlands, I visited the area of Zaanse Schans, which has a very unique importance in the development of Dutch industry and even far beyond the borders. The industry has helped the whole area to prosperity and many important products were created here which were important for daily life or infrastructure and through all the productions, people became more and more dependent on this area, which of course resulted in the increasing power of the industry and also more and more industrial families gained power. This area was certainly one of the most important milestones when it comes to the industry of the whole country and those who want to trace the origin back must absolutely visit this area.

Important for growth were also the old mills without which all this would not have been possible and in addition to all the points mentioned above, this must absolutely be written in large letters and considered as an important basis and here millennia old technology meets innovative power and it's also great that the Netherlands not have forgotten from which egg many things have hatched and in hardly any other country is this important tradition of mills maintained better than there. If you visit Amsterdam or the area in general and want to learn more about the industrial power of the Netherlands, it is a mandatory program for you to visit Zaanse Schaans to get to know the roots and also here the traditional mills still turn. In the course of the industrial revolutions, technologies changed and more processes were automated to boost production which of course changed many things.

Hey @elevator09 you are welcome.
Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘

In the post you frame industrialization and you end by mentioning it but you leave a kind of lapse so we can analyze how it is today, obviously technology contributes a great extra to all this, but the base will always be its history

Glad to see that you recognised it :) Wish you a great week @lupega

Earlier, I didn't know anything special about this country, but after your post, my knowledge has increased a lot and I would definitely like to visit this country once in my life.

So motivating to hear these words! You should dear @djbravo

Thanks alot.

A very informative post here with so much knowledge

Thank you so much :) Happy that you like my work

Your presentation of the industrial history in the Netherlands, especially the Zaanse Schans area, opened up a new perspective for me that I hadn’t seen before. The windmills are truly an essential part of the industrial strength.

Happy that you like my post!

I had no idea how much the Netherlands’ industry was shaped by history and windmills. One thing I really appreciate is how innovation and tradition can work together so effectively.

That’s true, the Netherlands is also one of the few countries that still really appreciate the roots, so many other countries have unfortunately forgotten them, especially with the mills. Too many ignore this cultural heritage and that’s why I think it’s nice that you don’t do it.

Yes you're right 🥰

Thanks for sharing with us one major thing that the Netherlands is rich in
It’s so good to know that

Thank you so much for the kind feedback @abojode
