This book comes from an interesting time. Between work and school, I attended the University of Toronto's adult learner entry course for English Literature.
It was an amazing course that taught a multitude of interesting things, however I have never been a great student.
I don't like the structure of it all, I don't answer well to its structure. What I offer here are glimpses of scribed lessons, writings inspired by lessons, unstructured .
As such this series will not be a ridgidly stitched as Thred. I have skipped pages of nothing, cropped out waste, I'd begun to write on both sides of pages, some ideas arc while others die in a page.
I welcome any literary scholars on steemit, or any who have read the works mentioned to converse, question, condemn or contemplate.
In this entry I include an ode, which was inspired by 'ode to a Grecian urn'
I have quite a few of poetic "lists" like this myself. I find them interesting. Like mini sonnets.
I hated literature class. I found it idiotic someone could judge our writing.
I loved the rooting of analysis, taking dead people's words and dissecting them like frogs, tying them into larger ideas, but at the same time it always felt like it sucked a lot of the simple joys out of it.
The head vs heart list, how similar yet different, leaving either fully in charge is dangerous.
Indeed.
I so hope and your family are having a great weekend!
This is awesome. Reminded me of a poetry book I lost many years ago. 25 ywars have passed and I'm still gutted! Well done you for holding on to the book. Upvoted and following you.
I had some books I lent go missing for almost five years, then miraculously they had found their way to hidden storage and were retrieved. But having my large chest has kept them in good condition and safe with me. Thank you for the kind words, I'll check you out.

What drink is bleedpoet
An absinthe wrapped in thorns, how fitting😉 When I imbibe in liquor it's strong and pure, when I imbibe in beer, it's cheap and coors😜 Thank you❤️
haha - I think your work is amazing and I wanted to thank you for your inspiration. It was a fun story to tell. I hope your follower liked the drink as well... she is a goddess after all but all three of us are married so only in poems lol.
