Thank you

I opened the door and here was standing Arya, in front of me, with her arms crossed. I knew something terribly was going to happen to me. Because, I broke the rules she had set up. But I wanted to discover, to go outside. I was driven by an incontrollable impulse that pushed me to do something I wasn’t allowed to. When I opened the door and went outside, I instantly forgot that it was forbidden, I just wanted to live the moment.

“You disappoint me a lot Ezir”

Those word were heavy and painful to heard for me, she was the person I should have been the more grateful because without her and I disappointed her. I’m not proud of myself at all. As it was pretty difficult to me to look at her in the eyes, I think she understood that I was deeply sorry.

“I told you I didn’t want you to go out of the lab, the outside is dangerous and full of people or things that can hurt you or act bad with you. I just wanted to protect you, that’s why I didn’t want you to be out of the lab. But I’m sorry too, I should have known that you would want to discover new things as you are learning new things each day, your thirst of knowledge could not be satisfied by me. I should have told you more things, taught you how the city was and What were its danger.”

I understood that Arya was deeply touched by my actions and that she didn’t really want to blame me, she is just protective with me as a mother would be. I also felt that she felt guilty for what happened, searching the reasons why I don this. But there wasn’t really a good reason, I mean, I didn’t really think about. I was thinking about it and why I did it but I didn’t find any reasons…

The atmosphere was heavy but it felt good to be home surrounded by someone who want me to be safe. As I was thinking about it, I remembered that the girl that helped me entered in the lab with me. I looked behind me and saw her taking of her shoes and her vest, she looked at me straight in the eyes, I wasn’t able to see something else than her look, her deep green eyes, I was so captivated that I almost not heard that Arya talked again.

“I can see that you met Tara during your journey out of the lab, she is the person who lives with me here, I told you that you were going to met someone new soon but it looks like you didn’t really want to wait. I’m happy that she was here to help you this night, without her you could have been sent into jail or even killed.”

Once she finished talking, I understood why this girl had entered in the lab with me. Now I remembered that her voice reminded me something, she was the person with who Arya was talking the day I woke up, they may have been talking of what bring us to be out of the lab for such a long time before Arya woke me up the first time.

“Hello, Ezir, as Arya said I’m Tara, but something she didn’t say is that I’m her daughter. I know you pretty well because I’ve seen you almost every day the past year, here in the lab, being built days after days. I’m finally really happy to meet you but I would have liked to met you another way for a first time. When I saw you in the street, I recognized you right away, and I knew I had to help you.”

I was really surprised to discover that Tara was the daughter of Arya, not because they don’t look like each other, on the contrary, they really look almost the same and everyone can guess that they are from the same family when they are next to each other. I was surprised that Tara was Arya’s daughter because I haven’t seen any pictures of her in the lab, they are pictures of Merik, the husband of Arya (and by the way, the father of Tara). But there are not pictures of Tara at all. But it’s not really important there might be a reason. I stopped thinking about it and I remember that Tara saved my life few hours ago, without her I would have be in a bad situation…

“I’m really grateful to you Tara, without you I could have died are even something worst, has you saved my life I would be grateful to you during my entire life.”

These words were deeply sincere and they came to my mind without the need to think what I would say, they were in my mind like if it was something I was obliged to say. I don’t know if it’s touched her or if she didn’t mind it at all. But she replied, smiling at me:

“You don’t have to thank me as much, that’s not really as impressive as you think”

But for me it was impressive.

For me she was impressive.

Cool @enzor,
I see the efforts you're putting into these stories, I see you going through some grammar problems too, I don't think English is your first language, is it?

Keep up the good work, you're putting out a cool story.
