I've been blogging for quite awhile now, before Hive and even "BS" before Steemit. I've picked up a few tips along the way and one of the things I've learned is that presentation matters.
I was taught that by a cook when I was in the US Navy who always took care when he was plating our food. It didn't matter what dish he was serving, I noticed that he carefully arranged the food in our trays and made sure to wipe down any spills along the edges.
He explained the importance of presentation in the implied value and enjoyment of what he was serving. Whether you noticed it or not, he did.
And he was right.
The same occurs with writing. I love reading a good piece on Hive, but the one thing I dislike is sloppy, ragged text.
Big giant blocks of never ending RAGGED text is not only sloppy (and reflects badly on the writers low effort output), but it ruins the readability of the piece as well.
In this short article (which is so unlike me), I'm going to share a tiny bit of text that you can add to your posts, that will make them look better and read better.
"Party Of The First Part and Party Of The Second Part..."
Every time I write a Hive blog post (or a long reply on someone else's post), I add the following:
<div class="text-justify"> Insert your text or article here </div>
The first part <div class="text-justify">
I place right underneath my image. So in my text file (I save every post), I have Title, Image, and that beginning piece of code. After that I have a space and then the main body of my article.
At the end of the article, I paste the </div>
right after the last word of my post. When I preview it, it looks so good in Ecency. Everything's all nice, neat, and justified. So I hope that helps. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll like the results. :)
