It's that time of the year again where everyone's busy on a date with their lovers, families and friends. There are lovers along the pavement that looks so passionate about their love for each other. And everywhere you set your eyes on, you'll see flowers of different kinds and shades, chocolates, teddy bears, generally presents, to be handed with love to all it's worthy owners.
On the other hand, you'll also come to find girls and boys, that are merely an audience of this once-a-year celebration of love. Some even managed to organize an event for them, so they might as well celebrate self love, along with all the others who are not into commitments. Truly, love is in the air.

I never really had the chance to celebrate Valentine's day, considering that i have been into 2 long term relationships. It's either they're too busy or they're just not here to celebrate with me. I have never given any Valentine gifts. Not until today.
After my 2 failed relationships, i channeled my self not to expect for any act of sweetness every 14th of February. But of course i don't want to sound like a hypocrite. Deep down inside i am fervently praying that one day i'll get to know how it's like to be someone's Valentine.
My present relationship, which makes it my third, made it slightly different today. Just so you guys know, we are nocturnals. We are most likely awake at night until 6 in the morning and asleep 6am onwards. At that day, we slept around 6am. He woke me up at around 2pm for brunch, but he end up going out alone to run some errands. Well that's what he told me. Only to find out that he meet up with a flower arranger for the bouquet he ordered for me. I was in awe. It might sound lame but for someone like me who has nothing but an abstract idea of how it feels like, it's heavenly.

I didn't know how to react so it felt awkward. It took me hours before i had the guts to say thank you to him. For heaven's sake, after 25 years, finally, a pinch of sweetness on Valentine's Day! This is a first---My not so typical Valentine's Day.

Don't get me wrong. It's not that i value material things more than their everyday effort. I do, but let's just be true to ourselves, that it's every girls dream to be treated a little extra at least once a year.
LOVE LOVE LOVE STEEMIANS!!!!!
