This time last year I wrote in my journal "fuck these little cuts. I AM THE GODDESS." When I read it a few days ago I laughed hard and long. The sense of wriggling out of a pouter costume to ta-da as a silly toddler is one I can do any moment of any day and is so relieving!
Raving about realizations on waking! So often I am aware of downloads completing in the night. Yesterday I put up blackout curtains and this morning I rose to the total understanding that my desire for a career is only and has always been only a desire for approval. Oh! Thank you, Byron Katie! It is now so obvious that I can't imagine how I didn't see it before. How wonderful to be free!
Last night it rained. The delicious droplets seeping low among the roots. Summer is nearly over and yet it does not feel disappointing or too soon. I am ready for change! Ready to add serious writing to my habit of daily rave writing! Ready to spend more time plugged in and less adrift in hammock time. Lets go!
Awesome shot of the sky!
It's amazing to look back at things we've written to see how much we have changed in our thinking, habits, and life expectations. I too am looking forward to a new season, it's one of the simple pleasures in life, to know that after a few months, everything will change and nature will enter a new phase that will bring with it, new experiences, new joys, and new scenery.
I am looking forward to a good snow again this year. =) Keep up the writing...
Hey Thanks! I checked out your introduction and it seems like you've had a pretty amazing life. I'm glad you're here. :)
Wasn't there a song with lyrics that said "Free your mind, the rest will follow!" Chase those dreams. Do what you love. Stare at the sky and think big things. "Fuck these little cuts" - I don't know how you personally interpret that, but the interpretation to my life are the little disappointments. Screw them! I will succeed...and you will too. :)
I made a sign that said "No mooning!" and giggle every time I see it for not only do I not want to see naked butts, I need to be reminded, sometimes, that I am a truly athletic pouter. When I was a little kid I slid into a glass display case and had to have a few stitches in my lower lip. This gave me super-human pouting abilities. But I think I'll take you advice and look at the sky and think big things. It's a good night for it. Thank you for commenting, Meredith. :D
