Yandex called the closing date of the deal with Uber to merge services

The company Yandex specified the closing date of the deal on the merger of Yandex.Taxi and Uber in Russia and a number of other countries - this is planned to be done by mid-February.

Relevant data are contained in a message published by company representatives.

In Yandex noted that at present the parties are completing preparation for signing documents.

Previously, the deal was planned to close in January. At the end of 2017, all necessary approvals from regulators were obtained.

In July last year, Yandex announced the upcoming merger of its taxi service with Uber in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Georgia. After signing the agreement, customers will be able to use both applications (Yandex.Taxi and Uber), while companies will have a single base of cars and drivers.
