Women who have given birth on one or more occasions, will understand how complicated it is to explain maternal love and at the same time how natural it is to feel that unconditional strength to do whatever it takes for children. More than one story has been played by a strong mother who has gone beyond her emotional, economic and even physical limits, in order to protect her children.
However, few mothers can be compared to Meliah, a 101-year-old woman who cared for her son with different abilities for 63 years; Today the Internet remembers her as an example that no sacrifice is too great when there is a mother's love.
Meliah Md Diadh was a woman who despite having more than a century on her shoulders, stood firm for the sole purpose of taking care of her 63-year-old son Abdul, who was born with different abilities. The woman's husband died almost 20 years ago and Abdul's elder brothers died at a very young age; Meliah and her son only had each other.
The woman from the community of Kampung Bukit Nambua, in Malaysia, had taken care of her youngest son, who could not walk, talk or maintain a normal life.
However, Meliah on more than one occasion stated that his son had never been a nuisance and that he could never regret having dedicated his life to him.
Fortunately, this mother and her son were not alone; both had the support and care of family members who were always on the lookout for this small but loving family. Siti Jelly Ynuns, 59 years old and grand niece of Meliah, assured that Abdul could not be in better hands than those of his mother.
