i remember when i was just a kid ... most would say a young adult, but a 20 year old ....

my attention was focused on chasing girls and sports

no one taught me these things
no one taught me my country is broke

no one taught me you could buy politicians
no one taught me that corporations actually made all of the new laws

no one taught me that our food was grown from ... not with, but from oil
no one taught me any of these things

are we just supposed to find this shit out on our own

I remember the day when I learned like 50% of the women in our country have been raped before
like what the fuck, we just rape half of the women and people are somehow ok with that

i remember when i learned some of the children growing up in our country, cant, by the time they are 18 do arithmetic

i met this kid who couldn't understand what 3/4 was

like what! and the thing is, he wasn't dumb ... he literally just didn't know

i remember when i learned that people get killed for trying to protect the environment
like errbody knows about jesus, and fuggin joan of ark and shit

but in like south america, and the philippiness people will go out into the forest to try and stop deforestation and they just get murdered

like im pretty sure if we just excavated the old cobblestone streets they'd be in better shape than what we have

what if we just literally went and paved all the potholes
