Entry for this week's Zen Colouring Contest #23
For whatever reason - it took me a little while to notice that this design pretty much looks like a "peace sign". It just looked like a symmetrical pattern to me until I really started analyzing it.
Once I added the heart in the middle and decided to add all the little hearts coming off the rainbow stripes, it stared reminding me of my painting I did a month or so ago of my late friend, Jack. Here's that painting and a link to my post about the painting, which was part of the "Whisper Gallery II" project, hosted by @mrblinddraw.
Don't the lines in the Colouring Design remind you of guitar strings? Now look at it again...
This design is now all about love, peace & guitar strings - totally up Jack's alley!!
Thank you for hosting these Zen Colouring Contests, @magiccleatus! Somehow these designs find a way of connecting to other areas in my life. Really interesting. I'd like to choose red for the next color.
Beautiful! I love how you tied it in to that touching piece of art you created for your late friend! The colours used in the pattern are gentle and calming and give off a peace and love vibe that is accentuated by the addition of the hearts, which also coin towards your piece last month. I even thought those lines were meant as guitar strings before I read the following paragraph!
Thanks for entering and supporting the zencolouringcontest!
Thanks for naming Red! as your suggestion for next weeks featured colour!
