Happy new year! ^_^ Hope you all had a great silly season.

The original idea I had was to Defying Gravity which is lodged in my skull as we did Wizard of Oz Meets Wicked for last year's end of year display, but that one was a bit darker than what I like for silly season shenanigans. Fortunately I had this piece lying around that I'd started ages ago but hadn't been able to finish and apparently now was the right time for it, even though I had to try to fix up a few things as I'd used my old models which had incorrect proportions.

There were also some tense negotiations with my dumbass brain as it decided that I should do the weird hybrid style again and I was like no. I mollified it somewhat by redoing the lineart while I was trying to fix things and thus was able to do the quick shading that I wanted. It's a bit of a throwback to a "soft cel" style I used to have a hundred million years ago. I think it's trying to tell me to do some better drawings but unless something changes this will probably be the best I can manage for the foreseeable future.

These two are the inaugural Tribe High King and Queen, they exist a thousand odd years before the current batch of characters that I'm focusing on.
