One And Then Another....

Hello ! Happy Wednesday !

I hope your week is going well.

This crazy thing I am showing you is a project that went way in one direction and then totally another and who knows, one day, it might go yet another, but here we are for now.

I think it is a magic potion bubbling up in happy colors. If it were real I'd drink some of it !

Although I am not showing them this time, I went through all the steps and layers, stencils and paint and paper...and messes and.... the first time came to this. Now, it had it's fun parts and I liked it when the light was just right and you could see the gold outlines around the flower petals, but straight on and at any distance, no gold, flat, plain, uneventful.

I also thought the background might be to busy and in too much competition with what should have been the focal point. So I blacked it all out. Bye-bye crazy background that I kinda liked.

I fiddled around with a few ideas, considered making a different flower top, decided not and then took burgundy paint and annihilated the flower. I was still holding on to the vase that was made from a piece of painty paper I loved. I knew it might have to go too, but I was holding on and draggin my feet.

I turned it around and wondered if it could be a balloon in the sky, but it wasn't. As I was going through some paper bits I laid the paper moon on the bottle and decided it was a potion bottle, so I started putting on bubble'ish punched circles of different sizes and colors.

You can see how some are kind of floating around in the bottle before they come out and they seem to be floating above the bottle in a happy, colorful cloud.

I don't know what kind of potion is in it, but while reading this, if you are liking me better and better for some unknown reason, it might be a love potion ! 💚 🤣

Anyway, it's a bit too simple I suppose, but it took many layers to get here.

For now I am letting it hang around because it is whimsical and colorful and I have gone on to other things. I have started another project or two, but neither are finished. I'm still having fun though.

When I covered over the canvas in black, before the burgundy, I left the sides black and after, I took some more burgundy and made dots all over the sides so they would look neat too. Now they're all matchy-matchy.

My week seems to be going a little slow. Last Sunday a giant bee thing making a very loud buzz, startled me as I was about to step out my back door. I attempted to step back in and pull the storm door closed as he was trying to fly inside and I somehow took a wrong step and fell hard, right flat on the floor. It happened so fast, I'm not quite sure how my feet got tangled in..... nothing, nothing, there was NOTHING there at all ! LOL .... anyway, I have a few light bruises here and there and what I believe is a fractured rib or two and me and Advil are best friends for a while. I don't know if you have ever fallen as an adult, but it sure is different from when you fall as a child. No jumping right back up, brushing off and running out to play. LOL.... ugh....or not for me ! I'm still getting around fine and feel very luck about that. I can't believe I let a big ol" buzzer make me do that to myself ! I'll be prepared for him when I'm ready to go back out though, that's MY porch and he can share or.... well.... you know.

It's supper time. I'm hungry and not hungry and although there is food in the house, there is nothing here I want ! Don't you hate when that happens?? I know I do.
