Birds of Paradise

Birds of Paradise Surprisingly, the beautiful birds of paradise are relatives of my sullen ravens. Currently, more than 50 species of these magnificent birds are known. They live in Australia and Madagascar. The most famous of all birds of paradise is the legless bird of paradise. She has a very variegated coloration. The head and neck are dark yellow, the forehead and throat are golden green, and the wings and tail are brownish brown. She, of course, is not legless, she has legs and is painted bright red.
The Malayan bird of paradise and the red bird of paradise are widely known. The first resembles a legless bird of paradise, only smaller in size, but the red bird of paradise is even smaller than the first two and differs from them in a golden-green tuft on its head.
All these species are very similar to each other in their behavior and habits. These are very funny, lively and intelligent creatures that have a lot of enemies due to their bright conspicuous coloring.
Birds of paradise never sit still. They wander either along the shores of the ocean, or move inland in search of food. These birds constantly flutter from branch to branch, and at the slightest noise they hide in dense foliage, where it is easier to hide. They build their nests in the hollows of the tallest trees, so they are difficult to find.
From morning to night they look for various insects and fruits, which constitute their main food, and in the evening, having gathered in a flock, they calmly fall asleep on tall trees.
In captivity, birds of paradise feel great, but they only eat live insects. The voice of the birds of paradise resembles the cawing of crows, but much more varied.
