I think you may be correct in majore, though (despite his general belligerence) John Macaffee's comments recently may have added a bump as well. Ethereum ramped upwards a bit as well after his comments, though it is correlation, not causation.

a lot of posturing and aggrandizing, but he was betting on a massive (imo ridiculous) increase to 500k USD within 3 years. hyperbolic, but certainly puts him in the "for" category.
