RE: EOS Providing A Basic Income?

The automation of those industries will bankrupt a lot of little business that cater exclusively to those high paying jobs, and that will ripple all the way down the ladders, ultimately we will see the scenario play out where UBI is a matter of top priority, which shouldn't take too long after the automation of those sectors is on the way. As you've mentioned the bridge we'll have to cross is probably going to be over how to limit one account per user and the consequential problem that will come if this is centralized.

Uf. This is a really tough one. Lets assume you have a country sitting on natural minerals or metals that can be mined at 0 cost in workpower and resource. Powered by free energy, final product created by automation. That resource is scarce, unlimited but essential....

The question is, who reaps rewards? In a capitalistic system the owner of the automation system. But what if you could build that system only once and automate its value creation to infinity.
If you can do that i do not see why UBI would not be possible.

I think blockchain will be the first step. Second step is AI.
All you need is automated value creation with minimum cost and a consensus of idea implementation.
I think it can be done.

Why not just have a decentralized autonomous corporation and distribute the profits to the shareholders? UBI is pointless when everyone can participate in a DAC ecosystem - they'll get paid for just being smart consumers. UBI would just destroy value, therefore destroying the DAC, and therefore destroying the money of the investors. You can't get something for nothing.
