Fud and hate´from central governments, financial institutions and top industries against crypto´s have no ending-however we will win in the long run . Most recently , Google will join their centralized buddies Facebook to ban ads related to Crypto´s. Even though google preaches not to do evil- I wonder why they are not practicing what they preach (guess they are afraid of blockchain tech creating a big competitor and thus eating off their monopoly).

Google will ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising.
The company is updating its financial services-related ad policies to ban any advertising about cryptocurrency-related content, including initial coin offerings (ICOs), wallets, and trading advice, Google's director of sustainable ads, Scott Spencer, told CNBC.
That means that even companies with legitimate cryptocurrency offerings won't be allowed to serve ads through any of Google's ad products, which place advertising on its own sites as well as third-party websites.
This update will go into effect in June 2018, according to a company post.
"We don't have a crystal ball to know where the future is going to go with cryptocurrencies, but we've seen enough consumer harm or potential for consumer harm that it's an area that we want to approach with extreme caution," Scott said.
Google's hard-line approach follows a similar ban that Facebook announced earlier this year. Read full details here
In light of this, we crypto lovers should see it as a blessing in disguise:
Create and promote Decentralized search engine: It is time for all crypto lovers to support any great decentralized search engine project where we can advertise legitimate ICO´s and projects like Steem´s SMT, EOS , etc. This will surely be very helpful including creating a great competition against Google the way steemit is currently doing against Face book.

Exactly, the recent wave of massive censorship gives us more incentives to develop decentralized censorship-resistant platforms like BitClave (search engine), Steemit (medium), D.tube (youtube), Zappl (twitter).
For now most tech-savvy users already switched to DuckDuckGo, because it doesn't track you all the time as most other centralized search engines do.

Governments all over the world are desperately trying to control cryptocurrencies as they think it as a medium which can challenge their monopoly on economic matters because money is the key of controlling the public. Government controlled money (fiat currencies) are meant to serve the powerful, elite, super rich people while in some way they are rendering poor to poorer. Governments never like to lose control over the masses. However, there are lots of scams happening in the name of ICOs and cryptocurrencies. These scams and fraudulent acts will give the governments to take the matters in their hand and subsequently crush the system which challenges them. Google and Facebook are doing exactly what powerful people want. Yes, I agree that we need a decentralized search engine which can solve the purpose of keeping power in the hand of general public instead of a few rich people. After all necessity is the mother of invention.

It seems every week there's another organisation banning crypto adds etc.., the one your speaking of the latest. It all appears to be bad news and FUD week after week, and this results in a selloff for several days and then some stabilisation.
In this case, that's already started and we are seeing more 'ups' then 'downs' amongst the top ten in market capitalization.
If the crypto world can take this much crap week after week, imagine what's going to happen when some 'good' news arrives. It can't go on forever, surely?
Another down today LOl and soon some up thus opening way for daily small profits ie if you are a day trader...buy low and sell high. l do believe things are slowly changing..all newcomers are always welcomed with low expectations and a grade of in tranquility by the established players of the moment..just take a look in history,when the cinema with sound started and everyone in hollywood was like: naaaw this isn't going anywhere, people like mute movies, it's been always like this, that was just fear knocking on their door..
my point is the just trying to put a shadow over cryptos because they fear them and that's why they're trying to dismiss them

I agree with the statement in general except the part where the regulators and governments hate cryptos, I don't belive the word "hate" is the correct word to use, now all the regulators are trying to achieve is to restrict the money laundring activity or to minimize the use of cryptos in the dark web, we mostly think that cryptos are used by investors seeking profits or institutions that agree to use them but have you ever wondered that a good portion of the crypto market is part of weapon, human trafficking and many other illegal activities? The fact that they are decentralised is not always a good thing, that aside the new investors should learn what it means to HOLD or HODL (as is the hype word), learn how to read the news properly, I'm sure we can all remember when Warren Buffet said that he would never invest in any crypto, and later it was discovered that he had indeed invested quite a lot in them, the news about Korean and Chinese "ban" and many other tricky news. All I want to say is: Do you invest in cryptos because you belive in a particular project or do you invest because of the news?

Fair enough! Nothing should go to the dark side, even the crypto. But to show a little bit of resistance to the idea of centralise everything.

To me, it's becoming obvious that the success of crypto, means failure for Google and Facebook. I think it's very odd that their recent behavior is turning people off, yet they continue down this same road they recently veered onto, seemingly ignoring the fact that they aren't exactly in a good position to be doing and saying this stuff, from a business standpoint.
It's almost like they were in leagues with some powerful criminal enterprise, trying to keep the loot hidden.

I left Facebook in January and have found that my life and mental health has improved. Simply because, I'm no longer being plagued with crap being shoved in my face of little worth, people moaning about 'who is driving their cars dangerously' and 'my neighbours cat has shit in my flowerbeds' or words to that effect type posts.
I do feel that governments, corporations and the dictatorship type rule that we have been living for centuries, is finally coming to an end.
#Revolution springs to mind, and that very word and the increased use and use of #cryptocurrencies must be scaring the shit out of those that feel that they are in control of the Masses!

#crypto is definitely here to stay. i think its all about weeding out the scams and identifying which are the legitimate ones. #google and #facebook probably feel that they are the big brothers and have a responsibility to inform the uninformed majority.
personally i have not invested in any crypto because i still don't really understand what all this #blockchain & #mining is all about. my eyes were opened by a friend who introduced me to steemit and this is my first foray into the unknown!

Google is a #monopoly & a fiat offshore #moneyhoarder
. I am sure Google wants no competition of any kind, crypto or otherwise.
I personally think it is a good thing for a few reasons.
It stops the ICOs with the biggest budget simply steamrolling great innovative projects. Any website can get clicks and views if they have a huge marketing budget for Google Adwords.
It forces ICOs to think outside of the box and reach their communities in other ways, platforms like Crowdholding will be the future, as no longer will they be able to just spam people to come to their site, but will have to engage them through co-creation.
It gives more power to bounties, people will spread the word of the ICO that has either got the best bounty campaign or a project they believe in. Although bounties can be manipulated by offering large sums, it is still better than google Adwords.
The only thing I don't like is that Google is clearly trying to strangle crypto. It's just underhand tactics to break the price, so they can invest into it or scare off users of crypto.
