My poems read aloud

in #creativecoin2 years ago

Hi Hive,

This is a recording of my poems read aloud with a little backing guitar by myself.

I've recently got back into writing, have a few chord riffs and some words but still trying to find the correct feel for a song again.

When writing and playing i feel such joy, it really is my most favourite thing to do, but i do find it takes a bit out of me, i can spend hours working on something and not notice the time fly by, i am blessed i suppose not having to work at this moment in time due to my mental health, but i do get absorbed into the writing and playing, lose myself.. perhaps this a good thing though.

Anyway, here are the poems and please do have a listen too.

What is Art?

A single breathe
A single movement
The process' from electrical impulses
To the muscles
Organs, all the pieces
The pull, the push
Absorbtion
Contortions
Our interactions
When we break
When we fracture
When we mend
When we bend
As long as we don't think twice
As long as we play nice
It's head lice
Whiskey over ice
Everything is Art
From a mouse to a house
A shopping cart to a human heart
The first and every beat
The freeze, the heat
From the beginning
Throughout space
Anything singing
Everything we waste
It's the first taste
Black lace
And on it goes.

The Bendz

Ascend into the bendz
Love or at least pretend
Blow dust and always rush
Step on flowers, stomp and crush
Fall into the deep end
Drown into the shallow
Then Breathe others air
And live without a care.

Dream Time

Without a warning
You're beyond yawning
Wisked away
Towards a brand new day
Forgotten friends
Come to see you again
To inspect your haul
Bagged in sweat and gruel
But In a blink of an eye
You forget them all
And before you can grasp
At the infinite wisdom of your past
The cat meows
Wake up, i'm parched

Always looking, never seeing

I succumb to the cigarettes scent
I stare at the wine
And i never refrain
For i'll die in my chair
Inside my heavenly lair
I'll never be aware
Of the Angels
Guiding us forward
Beyond our laws
Folk-lure
Herbal cure
I'll stone my way
And battle my brain
Listen to my wine
Wet, is the best time.
