RE: A post with gratitude...

in #ecotrain5 years ago

I wish it was from saved wealth/crypto LOL. I guess I'm being grateful for what I have now in order to achieve that one day. I actually forgot to mention I am also grateful for being in the position to home school my children...

But back to your question: part of my income comes from translation work and writing, part of it from crypto/day trading. I used to also take some of my Steem earnings, but not at the moment, for obvious reasons... So at the moment, it's a tight budget, but I made that choice when I decided that home education was the best thing for them. Other than that, we save a lot of money due to the fact that we don't have to buy uniforms etc. and I totally depend on the child benefit too for the kids. We also grow a lot of our own vegetables, which makes all the difference.
But in order to be able to do more fun things, I've recently started to apply for part-time jobs around here.
So far no luck, but I have a promising interview on Tuesday for a job in which I would be self-employed. It'd still give me a certain level of freedom to set my own hours, days etc. so it'd be perfect. Fingers crossed!

Yes, I think gratitude lifts the spirit. Doom thinking only keeps negativity going. I like to see life from the positive side of things and hope to teach my children the same.

Do you still live in Ireland? And where were you born? Yes, Ireland is beautiful, and I think that most Irish are inherently good people. That makes this journey so much better.

That sounds good, hopefully things can get easier for you in the future.
If steem picks up again things may be easier for all of us.

I'm from Offaly, in the middle of Ireland and worked in Dublin for 5 years. Recently moved to Canada to close the distance in a long term relationship.

Looking for a job now and trying to do some freelancing on the side while waiting to get hired but most people who reply to me aren't real businesses just spammers saying they want to buy my upwork account.

Best of luck with the interview, hopefully it goes well for you.

Oh Offaly, I've only been there once, to collect a puppy... but very nice scenery. Just a bit too far from any beach to my liking. Canada is nice, where in Canada do you live? I've never been there but have some family I've never met there so I'll have to go and meet them one day. My eldest daughter and her boyfriend want to move to Canada one day, so we're trying to figure out how they could achieve that at the moment. We don't know a lot about it, so a lot of researching!

I was going to try Upwork, because a friend of mine landed two ongoing gigs that make it possible for her and her daughter to travel and work remotely. But she started at quite low pay, just to get started. I have another job application sent in to a crypto company, and that would be completely remote, so I'm hoping to hear back from them as well. That one would be perfect, because it would be possible to travel non-stop, which is our ultimate goal.

Thanks for the well wishes, and I wish you the best with finding a job in Canada!

Oh a puppy! 😍🐕🐕🐕

Yeh Offaly doesn't have any beaches so that's a bit annoying. I live in Vancouver now, weather is similar to Dublin, slightly warmer in summer and slightly colder in winter.

Yes the pay on freelancer sites seems low starting off but I suppose as reputation grows and client base grows the pay would rise. Hopefully you get the crypto job and get to travel non stop.

Thanks for the well wishes, have to stay optimistic while applying
