Healthy paneer momos!

in #food4 years ago

I made the yummiest momos or dumplings.
You might be thinking what's healthy in it? It is way better healthy as it was made out of wheat flour and the stuffing was filled with veggies and it was steamed.

You can too make it :)
For the dough you need,
1 cup of wheat flour or you can take half wheat flour and half all purpose flour.
Warm water.
Salt

Now, knead the dough by gradually adding in warm water to make a smooth dough and knead it for atleast 10 minutes. Cover it with a cloth and set it aside for 15 minutes.

Now make the momo chutney,
Take 3 tomatoes and cut them into four. Take a pan and heat it and without adding any oil place the pieces of tomatoes and roast it from all the sides till it starts to change the colour. Take some oil and heat it and add in 7 cloves of garlic and cook it till it turns golden, take out the garlic and remove the pan from the heat and add in 2 tablespoon of ketchup and let it cook for a minute. Now in a grinder add in roasted tomatoes, golden garlic, ketchup in oil, salt, spring onion, 3 dried red chilly, grind it to a smooth paste.

Make the filling,
Its totally your choice what filling you want, it could be chicken, paneer, veggies, soya.
I took paneer as my filling.
So take good quantity of paneer and mash it and add in very finely chopped onions and capsicum and some salt.

MAKING OF MOMOS:
Take a small amount of dough and roll it into a very thin sheet and add in the filling and shape it into a momo shape. Make all of them. Like these.

And steam it for 10-12 minutes on low flame.
Serve hot and enjoy your quarantine.
