Happy Wednesday!
Supposedly the temperature will warm up today. Here is crossing fingers to that. I can't wait to start planting seeds. I know some already started their indoor plantings, but Winter has been brutal, I feel like it's still way too early to start. I did grab seeding boxes and soil 2 weeks ago tho 😅 I want to plant zucchini again this year. I miss harvesting zucchini, it was always such a feeling when the zucchini gets so big 😁
For today's recipe, normally in Indonesia we don't really add ground beef, but beef pieces or chicken pieces or seafood, meatballs, but I like using ground beef in this house. Ground beef is so easy to store in the freezer, doesn't take too much space when I stack them flat (by repackaged then when I buy them), hence a lot of my cooking are using ground beef. Many times, this veggie dish is only that, veggies, no protein though 😊
8 garlic
1 bag green beans
1/4 of a large cabbage
4 large carrots
1 large red potatoes
500 g lean ground beef
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 c water
Chicken bouillon powder, white pepper powder, mushroom granules, chives, to taste
Dice or chop garlic, set to side
Slice thinly cabbage, potato, green beans, and carrots, soak to rinse
Brown ground beef then stir in diced or chopped garlic, cook for a minute or two
Add in veggies, lower heat, cover, and cook til softened, stirring now and then
Meanwhile, dilute cornstarch in water
Season stir fry and lastly pour in cornstarch stir, and cook for another 5 mins
Serve immediately with warm rice.
Enjoy!
