Grapefruit tea I make

in #foodie3 years ago

I've seen how to make pomelo tea many times, but because people say it's hard to make and bitter, I've never done it either. Today boldly try to make pomelo tea for the whole family!
It took me more than 1 hour to have a delicious tea. So whoever is planning to do it should do it!

  1. Ingredients for making pomelo tea
To cook grapefruit tea, you need to prepare the following ingredients:
  • 1 delicious grapefruit
  • 200g green beans
  • Flour
  • 500ml coconut milk
  • white salt
  • 500g yellow sugar or jaggery
  • 1.5 liters of filtered water
  1. How to cook delicious grapefruit tea
Step 1: Wash the green beans, remove the broken, damaged seeds, then soak in cold water for about 4 hours for the beans to bloom and soften. Put green beans in a pot, fill with water to cover green beans, add a pinch of salt and boil, until the beans are soft, take them out and drain.

Step 2: Wash the grapefruit, peel off all the green skin and the fiber close to the pomelo to make the pulp more crispy. Cut grapefruit pulp into bite-sized pieces (about a little knuckle). If the pomelo pulp is cut too large, it is easy to be raw, and if it is too small, it will lose the crispiness of the pomelo pulp. Mix chopped pomelo pulp with a little salt, squeeze thoroughly and evenly for about 3-4 minutes. Then, pick the pomelo pulp into a thin towel, squeeze it dry and then rinse it under the tap, squeeze the pomelo pulp, and then squeeze it dry. Repeat 5-6 times like this until the grapefruit pulp is no longer bitter and the pomelo has run out of essential oil.

Step 3: Boil half a liter of water and then add 1 teaspoon of salt, until the water boils, drop the pomelo pulp in. Wait for the water to boil again, then take out and drain cold water, use your hands to squeeze and squeeze to drain. This step is repeated 2-3 times so that the pomelo pulp is all bitter and bitter.

Step 4: Mix the drained grapefruit pulp with 2 teaspoons of sugar and squeeze well, leave for about 2 hours for the sugar to dissolve and infuse into the grapefruit pulp. Next, put the pomelo pulp in the pan to slug. When the pomelo pulp is mixed, sometimes add a little water so that the pomelo pulp is always succulent, when the pomelo pulp is clear, it is okay. When the pomelo pulp is just finished, it is still hot, take it out and pour in the tapioca flour, mix well. Note that you have to pour tapioca starch when the pomelo pulp is still hot, the new pomelo is crispy.
