But why, why do we allow this? For surely we do allow this. It is the same in the United States, perhaps worse. I don't know. Especially since 9/11 we have given up our rights for 'security'. The irony is, security is elusive. Only those who are unsophisticated (me, for example) cannot avoid the security measures. So in the end we have given up our liberty, and gained nothing.
