5 Minute Freewrite: Weekend - Prompt: Big Wave

The Water Splinter is a powerful group of monsters in the exciting Steem Monsters game. Its icon in the game is an image of a big wave. It should be noted that Steem Monsters is in the process of rebranding to the name, "Splinterlands." It sounds like a lot more folks will be joining the game after the rebranding so it could be a wise investment to get started now and get a head start on the screaming hoards of monsters that will pour into game as it expands outside of the Steem universe.

Ok, back to the Water splinter, I think it is especially powerful at the lower levels of the game since the summoner grants all of his magic wielding monsters a (+1) in the magic ability. What makes this splinter really powerful at the lower levels are two cards, the Frost Giant and the Ruler of the Seas. The Frost Giant is a beast with a 4 melee attack and 9 health points. The Ruler of the Seas just lays waste to opposing forces with a magic attack of 3 after his (+1) boost from his summoner. The giant runs about $3.00 on the market and the Ruler of the Seas can be found for anywhere between $4 to $5.50. Needless to say a poor plankton level player like myself can afford neither of these awesome cards at the moment. Maybe the Easter Bunny will leave me one of them in my basket tomorrow.
