I welcome anyone with too much time on his or her hands to dig through my posts and verify that I'm telling the truth when I say that I've never criticized Greta Thunberg directly. Even though she's a legal adult now, I still won't.
She's a victim of the illiberal Left. She's the reason why I thank the primordial ooze from which all life sprung every day that social media didn't exist when I was nineteen. I believe almost nothing that I would have said when I was a kid.
The illiberal Left doesn't hold a monopoly over the exploitation of children for political gain; but, Greta Thunberg is illustrative of their proclivity for that exploitation.
Kids say stupid stuff. Since kids say stupid stuff, they often say stuff that leftists like. So, leftists use kids to speak for them because reasonable people come off as assholes if we criticize kids. If you're a thirty-year-old and you say the same shit that Thunberg does, I can come at you and prove you wrong, and nobody would think that I was being needlessly rude. People have been deliberately using her, and her youth, to perpetuate bad ideas.
The thing is, once somebody becomes famous because of his or her ideas, it becomes harder for that person to change his or her views. The left has set this poor girl up for failure. There seems to be a generalized lack of respect for youth. Yes, I do believe that the illiberal Left has a lot of kids' blood on their hands.
That is not a perspective I've heard before. Greta Thunberg as a victim of child exploitation. Like other victims of child exploitation, she's still feeling the effects of it in her adulthood. That is something to contemplate for sure.
